Foggy Fall Mornings

Fog must be at the top of my favorite list of all atmospheric conditions. It is that unique combination of temperature differences between the ground and air and the presence of moisture that creates this particular condition. Especially at this time of year, fog is beautiful, magical, and a bit spooky.

The drive disappearing between the trees beyond.

I’ve always enjoyed waking up to these magical, mystical mornings, and the last two days have not disappointed me. Fortunately, I was off the second morning and could enjoy it fully. There is something “cozy” about mornings like this: a taste of the fall season that has only just arrived. After taking pictures outside, I went in for a cup of coffee, sat in the living room with a warm light on, and enjoyed the view. What a truly stress-free way to start the day!
